BACKGROUND... I have been involved in both business and government my entire adult life.I started my law enforcement career in March of 1979, and soon  thereafter became  involved in numerous business and real estate endeavors as well.  I also served as Stony Point Town Attorney in 1993 and 1994. On the business end, in addition to being an attorney, I have been a highly effective chief executive officer (CEO) and chief financial officer (CFO) in various companies, with extensive experience in the areas of public and private financing, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and turnaround planning and execution, with particular expertise in long term planning and short term execution. Accomplishments include the successful completion of four public offerings and numerous private financings raising over one hundred million dollars for two companies in distinctly different industries. My executive and management background is complemented by unique legal and analytical skills gained from experience as a commercial litigator and law enforcement officer.   In the law enforcement arena, I began my career as a detective with the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, worked as a police officer with the Greenburgh, New York, police department, and eventually accepted a position as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service.  During my tenure with the Secret Service, I conducted extensive and complicated financial and counterfeiting investigations, and served on protective details for the then Vice-President George H. Bush, President Reagan, President Nixon, Presidential Candidate Mondale, and numerous other domestic and foreign dignitaries.   In May of 1984, I decided to give up the traveling life of a secret service agent, and accepted a position with the Clarkstown Police Department.  I was promoted from Patrol Officer to Detective in June, 1989, and created and operated the Police Department Legal Unit.  In January of 2004, I moved into the Detective Division, where I currently remain.
